Cllr. Kingsley Argues Against Cuts to the Young Writer's Programme

A letter from Jennifer Kingsley, which was published in the Kensington and Chelsea News on 18th March, is one of various additions to the new 'Articles' section of this website.

In her piece for the newspaper, Jenny argues strongly against the council plan to cut £19,000 from the Young Writer's Programme based at the Royal Court.

"For some of the youths, the YWP opens new vistas. It instils in them a new-found sense of hope and interest which may draw them away from antisocial behaviour and provides a positive means of engaging them in a productive life."
