A message from Jenny Kingsley, Liberal Democrat parliamentary candidate for Kensington & Chelsea: "As MP for Kensington and Chelsea I would be working hard, all year round, on behalf of everyone in our constituency."
Jenny continues: "We live in one of the most enriching parts of our great country; it's steeped in cultural, ethnic and religious diversity. While some residents are blessed with wealth and privilege, others are blighted by poverty and social exclusion. I aim to unite our part of London in the pursuit of personal freedom and social justice."
A local Lib Dem councillor, Jenny Kingsley has two teenage sons with husband Stephen. Jenny is a graduate of the London School of Economics and has a Master's degree in International Relations from Georgetown University, Washington DC. Before starting her family, Jenny worked as journalist with women's magazines and still enjoys writing for many publications. For a number of years, she has been active in local community groups such as Victim Support. Jenny is also a school governor and volunteer reader with a primary school.
"I've been overwhelmed by the pledges of support I've received from residents who are disillusioned with traditional party politics. People are relieved finally to have a real choice, a local candidate and champion who'll reflect their needs and issues in Westminster," says Jenny.
