Strongest Ever Showing in the Polls & Still Moving Up

Jenny Kingsley has welcomed the highest ever Lib Dem share in a General Election poll. The YouGov poll for the Sunday Times on 17th April shows us on 23% (up 2) with Labour on 36% (down 1) and the Tories on 35% (no change). Meanwhile. an ICM poll for the Sunday Telegraph on the 17th April puts the Lib Dems on 22% (up 2) with the Tories on 30% (down 4%) and Labour on 40% (up 2).
Jenny Kingsley, Lib Dem candidate for Kensington & Chelsea commented: "These polls show the Lib Dems are continuing to move forward. The 23% Lib Dem share in the You Gov poll is the highest ever Lib Dem share in a General Election poll, and we're not even half way through the campaign!"
Moreover, Jenny stresses that the results suggest that the Conservatives simply cannot win. "An ICM poll in the News of the World on 17th April of 93 marginal Labour seats where Cons are a close second, shows only 1% swing Lab to Cons but they need 10% swing to win. The Lib Dems are the real alternative - and more and more voters know it."
