Lib Dems SURGE Ahead in Poll

OpinionA MORI poll in The Sun today finds the Liberal Democrats the real gainers as the local elections approach on Thursday 4th May. The Conservatives are DOWN 4 on 30%, Labour are DOWN a massive 9% to 30%, but the Lib Dems are UP six percentage points to 25%.

Local Lib Dem Campaigns Officer Robin Meltzer said, "This poll highlights what we have been finding locally on the streets of Kensington and Chelsea. While the two other main parties are shedding support, the Lib Dems have the momentum behind us."
