Peter Kosta
The local Liberal Democrats have chosen Peter Kosta as the candidate for the Norland council by-election. Peter is a respected community campaigner with a 23 year track record of action and achievements in our area.
Peter has campaigned on a host of environmental issues, on protecting shops and local businesses and on getting a better deal for transport users.
Since 2005, Peter has been one of the leading Liberal Democrat campaigners in the fight to save and protect the Portobello Road and Market.

Peter went to high school in Bristol and was a founding member of the Bristol Youth Theatre. He studied Speech and Drama at Rose Bruford College.
Peter moved to London from Bristol in 1978. When not engaged in community politics and campaigns, during his career as a professional actor he appeared in the West End and acted and directed on many national tours.
From 1976 to 2010 he was an elected member of British Equity and an active founding member of Save London's Theatre Campaign.
In 2007 Peter became a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
The by-election to choose a new councillor for our area is happening because a Conservative councillor has resigned following being charged by the police with more than twenty counts relating to possessing and making child and animal pornography.
