EARL'S COURT EXHIBITION CENTRE REDEVELOPMENT: BLIGHT, TRAFFIC & TRANSPORT!

March 28, 2012 9:52 AM

URGENT: EARL'S COURT EXHIBITION CENTRE REDEVELOPMENT - BLIGHT, TRAFFIC & TRANSPORT!

For Earl's Court residents, Traffic and Transport are two of the most important issues that affect our lives, and despite their importance these reports were late in the Joint Supplementary Planning Consultation (JSPD) Consultation process, they were not sufficiently covered, and answers weak, leaving residents vulnerable and frustrated with the planning process.

But, now it has emerged that in a Report to Hammersmith & Fulham Council prior to their approval of the JSPD on 19 March that the issue of BLIGHT was raised, and it was acknowledged that the development would cause BLIGHT. Kensington and Chelsea approved the JSPD on Thursday 22 March, how much did they know of the BLIGHT report prior to their decision? The outcome is that we have been left with, what is acknowledged as a major tool to protect residents, a JSPD that will not be sufficiently robust in our defence with the present CapCo Planning Application PP/11/01937, comments have to be with RBKC Planning Department by Thursday 5 April [http://tinyurl.com/EC-planning-applicationCOMMENT]
