Sarah Ludford: Lib Dem MEP for London

More good news for the Lib Dems in London. The European Elections saw Sarah Ludford, our MEP for London, comfortably retain her seat in the European Parliament. The Tories and Labour in London both lost a seat.

The Lib Dem vote in the London-wide European elections was up 3.7%. The Tory vote in London was down 5.9% and Labour was down a massive 10.3%.

Our share of the vote was up so much that we almost scored a second MEP for London in the shape of Jonathan Fryer. We in Kensington and Chelsea, who have welcomed Jonathan to many of our events in the run up to the elections, want to pay tribute to the enormous amount of work that he has done for the party in London.
